House of Roots and Bones: Love, Family, and Domestic Conjure Department

XXVII. LOVE, FAMILY & DOMESTIC CONJURE

HORB LOV 301 — Love Work Beyond Attraction

Establishes love work as a broader field than attraction alone. Students examine affection, commitment, communication, reconciliation, household stability, and family formation. The course develops diagnostic skills to separate desire from reality before treatment.

HORB LOV 302 — Sweetening Existing Relationships

Specializes in improving disposition within relationships that already exist. Students learn to determine what needs sweetening: speech, affection, cooperation, patience, or peace. The course distinguishes sweetening from reconciliation or domination.

HORB LOV 303 — Reconciliation Work

Examines efforts to restore damaged or ended relationships. Students evaluate cause, contact, interference, timing, and safety before treatment. The course teaches how to distinguish true reconciliation potential from a client’s inability to accept an ending.

HORB LOV 304 — Marriage & Household Peace

Studies work surrounding marriage, cohabitation, and domestic stability. Students examine communication, finances, in-laws, children, and household unrest. The course integrates spiritual treatment with practical solutions and safety considerations.

HORB LOV 305 — Fidelity Work in Historical Conjure

Examines historical traditions intended to keep partners faithful or prevent wandering. Students study these practices within the social and economic realities of earlier Black communities. The course distinguishes historical documentation from modern application and requires jurisdiction.

HORB LOV 306 — Separation Work & When It Was Used

Examines work intended to break, loosen, sour, or end relationships. Students distinguish separation from punishment and identify the true objective of the work. The course requires clear justification and consideration of all possible consequences.

HORB LOV 307 — Family Reconciliation

Applies reconciliation principles to family systems and kin relationships. Students examine estrangement, generational conflict, inheritance, and grief. The course teaches that family healing sometimes means reunion and sometimes means a healthy boundary.

HORB LOV 308 — Peaceful Home Work

Develops complete household treatments for reducing conflict and establishing peace. Students use washes, prayer, sweetening, household materia, and practical changes. The course treats the home as both a place and a relationship network.

HORB LOV 309 — Ending Unhealthy Attachments

Examines methods for ending destructive, unavailable, or finished relationships. Students study cleansing, separation, boundary work, and emotional recovery. The course prepares practitioners for responsible closure work.

HORB LOV 310 — Love-Case Diagnosis: Desire vs. Reality

Diagnoses relationship cases without allowing desire to dictate the reading. Students evaluate history, behavior, consent, third parties, and practical circumstances. Passing demonstrates the judgment to work love cases without enabling obsession or denial.
